The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department says a woman is behind bars after she was intoxicated and resisted arrested. Deputies were called out to Lillian Lane and when they arrived 37-year-old Jennifer Maggard ran away. After a short foot chase and a brief scuffle, she was taken into custody. She admitted to using what she thought was a large amount of meth. While being transported to jail, deputies say Maggard began hitting her head on the windows in the back of the police car. Maggard faces several charges including resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
