Laurel County Sheriff John Root says deputies were dispatched to an abandoned house off Ky 1223 on a trespassing complaint. When officers arrived they found a man and woman there. The man, later identified as 32-year-old Timothy Storms of Corbin, gave deputies his brother’s name. It turned out Storms had a Knox County warrant out for his arrest on theft charges. He was arrested and in addition to the warrant he was charged with criminal trespass and giving an officer false identifying information. Also arrested was 28-year-old Latasha Bryant of Girdler, charged with criminal trespass. She also was wanted on a Knox County warrant for shoplifting and contempt of court. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
