In 2018 we received a record amount of rainfall. While flooding was a problem for some throughout the year, firefighters are thanking mother nature for not throwing another problem into the mix. One of the positives with all the rain was a lack of wildland fires. As a whole Eastern Kentucky stayed wildfire free in 2018, with much of that going to the amount of rainfall we saw. While we are only a few days into 2019 many hope we see less flooding but don’t see any wildfires either.
