The Williamsburg Police Department says officers arrested a man this week on a charge of unlawful transaction with a minor for a sex act, among others. According to court documents, 42-year-old Randy Claxton, of Williamsburg, used Facebook Messenger in September to talk to a girl who was 13 at the time. Police met with social workers and the girl’s parents during the investigation. Investigators say Claxton offered the teenager money to perform a sexual act. He allegedly made arrangements with the girl to meet at Briar Creek Park. Police officers confronted Claxton at the park where he planned to meet the teenager. They said he had five needles in his possession. Police also said Claxton used his phone to send the girl nude pictures. Claxton was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
