Kentucky State Police have released the identity of the person killed in a wreck on Kentucky-11 in Knox County Tuesday night. Troopers say 20-year-old Amber Hacker, of Williamsburg, crossed the center line and struck a guardrail. The car then shot back to the other side of the road, flipping after it hit a rock embankment. One passenger, 45-year-old Dale Taylor, of Barbourville, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were five people inside the car. Troopers say none of them were wearing seatbelts. Two of the other victims were airlifted to UK Medical Center. Troopers say they do believe alcohol and drugs played a factor in the wreck. The incident remains under investigation.
