The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to Corbin Walmart where the store’s loss prevention staff had detained a man accused of shoplifting. Officers say the man, identified as James Brock of Pineville, also appeared to be under the influence. Brock admitted to “shooting up” before going to Walmart. Brock was also wanted on warrants out of Bell County. A search turned up meth, a needle, suboxone and marijuana. As deputies were walking him to the cruiser Brock broke away and ran but was caught. Later while he was being processed at the Laurel County Detention Center, he grabbed a baggie of meth police had taken from him and ate it. Brock is facing multiple charges.
