Laurel County deputies were called out to East Laurel Road where a woman was reportedly walking along the road screaming someone was trying to kill her. Deputies say people who called in said the woman was knocking on doors and trying to get into cars. When officers arrived they found 34-year-old Mary Roark of Manchester holding a water meter cover on her shoulder and trying to hide her head behind it. They said she told them the mob was trying to kill her and deputies were part of the mob. Deputies say Roark was under the influence and had several needles on her. She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication-controlled substances, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
