The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a man was arrested after deputies said he used a fake $100 bill. Deputies say after an investigation, they arrested 33-year-old Joshua W. Westerfield of London. Investigators say in November he used a fake $100 bill to buy something at a store off West Laurel Road and received change back. Deputies say the bill said “motion picture use only” on it. Police say a few days later Westerfield went back to the same business and tried to use another fake $100 bill. However, this time deputies say employees noticed and called them. Westerfield was arrested an charged with theft by deception under $500. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
