Forestry officials are investigating after multiple signs were vandalized in the Daniel Boone National Forest over the past several months. Daniel Boone National Forest posted on their facebook page about the recent vandalism and how much each sign cost, as much as $500 to $1,000 on some of the bigger signs. Jason Nedlo, who works with the London Ranger District says you have to have a sign on each side, so then you’re talking $1,000 to $2,000 for one location. According to the post, the London Ranger District recently invested a significant amount of money into the signs to highlight the National Forest’s recreation sites, as well as directional and regulatory signs for the visitors. If you see vandalism, please report it to Forest State Law Enforcement at 606-864-4163 or Kentucky State Police at 606-878-6622.
