The London Police Department says they, along with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, joined forces to arrest three men and a woman after a chase that endangered the lives of officers. Officers were called out to L&N Federal Credit Union on KY-192 about a black minivan that may have been involved in several thefts in the area. Officers were trying to talk with the occupants of the van when they backed up knocking two officers to the ground. As officers went after the van, deputies joined the chase into the downtown area. The van eventually crashed at the 4th Street railroad crossing which was under construction. All four occupants ran from the crash but were later caught by police and arrested. Several officers were injured and two were taken to Saint Joseph-London for treatment. The driver, 24-year-old Johnathan Murphy of Connecticut, and 26-year-old Louis Green, Jr. of Florida, were charged with attempted murder of a police officer, fleeing or evading police and several others. 28-year-old Richard Baker of Florida and 27-year-old Tabitha Borborema of New Jersey were charged with fleeing or evading police. Baker was also charged with assault of a police officer and resisting arrest. They were all lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
