Laurel County Sheriff John Root says deputies arrested two men off Johnson Road for meth trafficking during a traffic stop. Deputies discovered the men, Blackie Johnson and Irvin Johnson, were not wearing seat belts during the stop. They also noticed the smell of marijuana and the driver was slurring his words. During a search officers found meth, two scales, and other drug paraphernalia. Blackie was charged with with DUI and meth trafficking, among others. Irvin was charged with meth trafficking and others. Irvin was also charged with failure to appear in court. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
