A Corbin man is arrested after being implicated in a massive drug bust. According to Detectives Keegan Smith and Anthony Sansone were taken into custody in connection with the largest drug bust in southern Indiana history. The investigation spanned four months before police tracked down the men and discovered their elaborate plan, which raked in millions. Clarksville police say Sansone would fly into Louisville International Airport and would meet with a courier from California. They would go to a local storage unit and then offload several hundred pounds of marijuana. The storage facility was located in Mount Washington. Investigators say that’s where Smith came in. Police say he and his friends would come up from Corbin, unload the marijuana from the boxes at the storage unit, then transport it back down to Corbin for distribution with their local dealers. Police made the arrests after four months on the case. They seized nearly $2 million in cash, more than $1 million worth of marijuana and about a dozen guns. Both suspects are facing drug trafficking charges. Police anticipate more arrests will come.
