The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says a man is behind bars after deputies found drugs in his possession. During a drug investigation at 39-year-old Jason Hughes’ home in Barbourville deputies found a plastic bag containing meth. They also found a sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun and a .22 caliber rifle. Hughes was arrested and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
