The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested a man for being intoxicated and having drugs near a school. Police say they got a call about a man who seemed to be intoxicated at a business. When they got to the scene they determined 41 year old Donnie B. Belt, of Manchester, was under the influence. A search of Belt turned up methadone, Suboxone, Xanax, and marijuana along with cash. All this happened within 1,000 feet of Campground elementary school. Belt faces charges including public intoxication, drug trafficking and trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school. Belt was taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
