The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested a mother after she allegedly left a used needle within reach of a toddler. Officers were conducting an investigation at the home of 28-year-old Jessica Nicole Riley when, during a search, they found a used needle under a bathroom sink. They say it was within reach of a four year old child living at the house. Riley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a minor. The child has been placed with other family by social services. Riley was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
