Laurel County Sheriff John Root says a drug investigation lead to the arrest of two people. Police say they received a drug complaint at the Corbin Manor Apartments. They first arrested 44 year old Julia Blankenship after she was reportedly in possession of needles used to inject methamphetamine. She is charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. During the investigation, deputies say they arrested 44 year old Clayton Blankenship for violating an emergency protective order against Julia Blankenship. He was charged with EPO violation. Both Blankenships were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
