For the third time in less than a year, police arrested a man in Laurel County for a car theft. Investigators charged William Malicoat with three counts of theft by unlawful taking. Police say in April he took a man’s truck while it sat at a gas station. The victim later found the truck but a gun, tools, cell phone and other items were missing. The value of the missing items is estimated at $1,800. Police arrested Malicoat and his wife for a similar crime in October of last year. Malicoat and a different woman were arrested for a car theft in March of this year.
