The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to Corbin Manor Apartments on complaints of drug activity. Officers found three young children living in “very poor living conditions.” Deputies say they found drug paraphernalia – including a meth pipe and around 25 needles. Two women who lived in separate apartments, 21 year old Jamie Zimmerman and 54 year old Connie Burton, were arrested. Zimmerman was charged with three counts of second-degree wanton endangerment. Burton was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
