The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says deputies, while on patrol on Hwy 11, noticed a speeding car. Officers pulled the car over and during the investigation determined the driver, 20 year old Jessica Curry of Walker, was under the influence. A search also turned up a loaded 9mm handgun, five small zip lock baggies containing suspected methamphetamine and a set of digital scales. Curry was arrested and charged with DUI, no operators license, trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon. Curry was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
