The Barbourville Police Department says a Whitley County man is facing charges in connection to stolen cars. Officers say they received a call from a man who said James Forbes left stolen cars on his property. When investigators checked the cars, they noticed a VIN plate was removed from one car and the other car’s VIN number was cut out of the firewall. Police charged Forbes with receiving stolen property and obscuring the identity of a machine. He was arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
