The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a man is behind bars after he shot at his neighbor’s home. Deputies were called out to Highway 490 where a woman told officers that her next door neighbor, 39-year-old James Parker, was shooting at her house. Police say they did find a hole from a .22 caliber round on the property. When deputies asked Parker if he had a .22 caliber rifle, he claimed that he did – but denied firing at the house that morning. The news release goes on to say Parker later admitted to shooting at his neighbor’s home on another occasion, “because someone called him a bad name.” Parker was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
