Police in Corbin say a woman was arrested accused of trying to steal $2,600 worth of merchandise from Belk. Police say loss prevention called officers to the location after the woman had been in the department store for more than two hours. She was causing a disturbance by yelling at her two children. Officers determined the woman, 40 year old Kimberly Masters of Bowling Green, was trying to hide clothes and leave without paying. Police call it a sad situation, as the Masters are homeless. Officers say Masters had been staying at a nearby homeless shelter before her arrest.
