City and county officials, along with business and community leaders gathered at London City Hall Wednesday to increase awareness of the upcoming 2020 census. Public Safety/Risk Management Director for the City of London, Rick Cochrane, says over $675 Billion is spent annually on education, transportation and healthcare that is based totally on census count. Federal grant money issued through state programs is also based on population and sometime cities and counties are denied funds for lack of population, so census count is important. Officials say it’s important to get the word out so that our population is accurately accounted for.
