The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to a home in Corbin where a handgun was reported stolen. Officers determined the thief was 35 year old Kenneth Ray Couch of Corbin. During the investigation police learned Couch had been picked up by an ambulance at a store after reporting he was having a heart attack. When the ambulance arrived at Baptist Health Corbin, Couch reportedly got out of the ambulance and walked to the cafeteria. That’s where police found him. He was arrested and charged with burglary, falsely reporting an incident and others. Couch was also wanted on a Caldwell County warrant for failure to appear on two counts of theft by deception – cold checks. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
