The Kentucky State Police says a Laurel County man is facing charges after he nearly drove head-on into a police cruiser. The trooper says Terry Dewayne Lynch rounded a curve on Wyan Road in London and almost hit his cruiser head-on. After turning around, the trooper gave chase but lost sight of Lynch’s vehicle. Later he found the vehicle on Walker Lane, where Lynch ran off into the woods nearby and disappeared. Later that day, a detective spotted Lynch on Sunshine Hill Road. Lynch ran away again, but police caught him in a field. Authorities say Lynch admitted to taking suboxone and neurotonin just before driving. Police found a cut-off straw with him. Lynch faces charges of careless driving, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and more.
