A daring rescue was caught on camera in Corbin, as firefighters pulled an unconscious man from a rocky creek. WLEX-TV reports it happened between Lynn Camp Creek and the bridge on Roy Kidd Avenue Wednesday morning. Shortly after gathering to review a rope rescue technique they had been practicing, crews were called to put their new skills to use. A man who was reportedly living under the bridge fell out of his bed, hit his head on nearby rocks, and became unresponsive. The rescue operation took about an hour and a half to complete. The man was then flown to a hospital in Lexington.
