Kentucky State Police released the identity of a man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Knox County. It happened Sunday on Highway 11, about 3 miles north of Barbourville. Troopers say 25 year old Robert Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say Jackson was heading south when he lost control and dipped onto the shoulder. They say it appears Jackson then over-corrected and crossed the northbound lane hitting an embankment causing his car to flip and throw him from the vehicle. Nobody was in the vehicle with Jackson. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. Officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
