Four years ago, Donald Mills was found shot to death after a deadly home invasion in Knox County. Five people were charged in connection to the crime. One suspect has died. Another is already behind bars. The remaining three suspects were sentenced this week. Christopher Wagner, Elijah Messer and Angela Mills learned their fate inside a Laurel County courtroom. Christopher Wagner pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for his role. Messer was sentenced to 50 years behind bars after a jury found him guilty of manslaughter, first-degree robbery, and persistent felony offender. Angela Mills, who also pleaded guilty back in 2016 to conspiracy to commit robbery, was sentenced to two years probation. She had already served time behind bars. Last year a jury found Patrick Baker guilty. He is serving nineteen years behind bars. Donald Mills family said it’s been a long and emotional 4 years, but are glad the case has finally come to an end.
