The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to Corbin Walmart where the store’s loss prevention team team attempted to detain a woman accused of shoplifting. The woman, later identified as 41 year old Carrie Lewis Gordon, fled on foot. Officers found her in a truck attempting to leave the parking lot. When deputies investigated Gordon gave them a false name. When she admitted to her real name officers found that she had three warrants. Gordon was arrested and in addition to the warrants she was charged with shoplifting and giving an officer a false name. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
