The Kentucky State Police has released more information in the case of a man accused of neglecting and abusing his mother resulting in her death. 52 year old Larry Hensley is behind bars for the second time after a Laurel County grand jury indicted him for his mother’s murder. Troopers say they found 81 year old Lue Faye Hensley in very poor physical condition during a welfare check at a home on Rocky Branch Road in London. Lue died in the hospital March 4 as a result of the abuse and neglect, though her exact injuries are unknown. Public Information Officer Lloyd Cochran said the abuse went on for months and months and months, and no one really knew. Larry was arrested on the original charge but was later released. He was arrested again last week after his indictment. He faces charges of murder and knowingly abusing or neglecting an adult. Police urge you to check on elderly neighbors and family to prevent similar cases.
