An Emmalena man was indicted by the Laurel County grand jury for attempted murder, along with other charges, for allegedly stabbing a woman in the chest. Officials say 25 year old Brandon Curtis Hoskins was indicted on charges of attempted murder, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, giving a police officer a false name or address, drug paraphernalia and persistent felony offender. The indictment alleges, on May 11, Hoskins stabbed a woman in the chest and back near the Love’s Travel Stop off I-75 exit 29. He then discarded the knife and the shirt he wore when he stabbed the woman and ran away into a wooded area near the truck stop. Hoskins later came out of the woods and hid behind a nearby truck. A Florida truck driver was able to help police nab Hoskins. Hoskins also had meth and a glass pipe.
