The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says four people are now facing charges after they confessed to killing a woman. Deputies had been searching for Sherry Rose, who went missing in Laurel County June 12th. According to an arrest citation, during that investigation, Rose’s daughter, 28 year old Christie McFadden admitted to police that she and her husband, 31 year old Joseph McFadden, fought with Rose and stabbed her. Investigators say Rose died from her injuries. Police say the couple told them they then bought mops, bleach, and ammonia to clean up the scene after Rose was killed and used Rose’s debit card to take $500 from an ATM. The McFaddens told investigators they put Rose’s body in a suitcase, transported it in Rose’s car and dumped it in a rural area. Further investigation led to two more people who helped dispose of the body. Rose’s car was discovered off Roark Road in southern Laurel County and her body was found in Clay County off Reynolds Road near the Laurel County line. The McFaddens were arrested as well as 48 year old Michael Hinkle and 24 year old Cody Hinkle. All four were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
