Kentucky State Police arrested a man after he allegedly bit his infant son on the face. Troopers went to the Barbourville ARH Emergency Room where a three-month-old boy was being treated for a bite injury. They were told the bite came from the baby’s father, Eric Bays. After police tracked down Bays, he told them he was watching his son and became frustrated when the infant would not stop crying. Bays said he tried several things to calm the baby. When those did not work, troopers say Bays admitted to becoming angry and biting his son on the left cheek above his jawline. According to a citation, Bays said he knew he should not have bit his son and wants to find help for his anger issues. Bays was charged with second-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
