Investigators in Pulaski County say a man accused of robbing a gas station in May is now a person of interest in a murder case. Police say 36 year old David Strong is already behind bars. During his initial arrest in connection with the robbery, police say he fired a gun at them and another man. Police found Strong on Libby’s Lane and when they tried to talk to him, he took off running, tried to steal a neighbor’s car, then fired a shot at that person and a deputy. Strong was driving a car matching the description of one involved in the robbery a Slate Branch store. Investigators say they now have evidence leading them to believe he might be the person who killed 87 year old Arlie Lewis in May. Owens was found dead at his home during a welfare check. Strong currently faces numerous charges including attempted murder, fleeing and evading police and resisting arrest.
