Kentucky State Police investigated a crash involving a Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputy and a woman. Troopers say the crash happened at the intersection of US 27 and KY 914 in Somerset. The deputy was driving southbound on 27 to respond to a call. His patrol car’s lights and sirens were activated when he collided with a pickup truck driving eastbound. Troopers say the driver of the pickup, 31 year old Melinda D. Lawless of Russell Springs, failed to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle. One juvenile received minor injuries. A family member took the juvenile to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. No other details were released.
