The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested a man on hit-and-run charges after he crashed his truck into a tree. Officers were called out to a non-injury crash on Pine Top Road 3 miles west of London. They found a pickup that ran off the roadway and collided with a tree, but the driver was nowhere to be seen. After investigating, officials found the driver, later identified as 24 year old Zachary T. Bowling of London, in another vehicle during a traffic stop in the area. The man initially gave deputies a fake name and birthdate. Bowling had several warrants out for his arrest. Bowling was charged with giving false identifying information and leaving the scene of an accident. The warrants for his arrest charged him with drug possession, drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and numerous other charges. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
