The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a man is facing charges after he allegedly hit his girlfriend and forced her out of a moving vehicle. Deputies say they were called to a domestic violence complaint on West Laurel Road. When deputies arrived, they say that they learned that 35 year old William Asher allegedly became angry and hit a woman in her face and arm. They say he then apparently slowed the vehicle down and forced her out without coming to a complete stop. Asher left the scene. Deputies eventually caught up to him and took him into custody. He was charged with assault among others. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
