The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office say a Corbin woman is behind bars after she was caught driving under the influence of drugs. Deputies say they pulled 40 year old Ruth Howard on Kentucky 770. During the investigation they noticed she had slurred speech and determined she was under the influence. They say she also told police she had taken meth, suboxone, marijuana and possibly other drugs, prior to driving. In the car, a K-9 found syringes, one of which was filled with suspected meth. Howard was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
