A Pulaski County deputy jailer has resigned following a drug trafficking arrest. Somerset police say they stopped Sheila Keith’s vehicle after she failed to use a turn signal on the Martin Luther King Bridge. There was a man and a 16-year-old girl in the vehicle. The man, later identified as James L. Jones, was arrested for public intoxication and had warrants out for his arrest. Following Jones’ arrest, officers asked to search the vehicle, which Keith allowed. Officers say they found 10 grams of methamphetamine, scales, a meth pipe, and a duty weapon. Keith was charged with drug trafficking among others. Keith and Jones were lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center while the 16-year-old was transferred to a juvenile detention center, as investigators believe she was involved with the drugs as well.
