Kentucky State Police found a man wanted in a Jackson County double homicide, ending a manhunt that lasted almost two weeks. Troopers say Terry Hammonds was taken into custody in Jackson County. Hammonds and his brother, Bobby, were wanted for a double murder. The family of Whitney Venable, one of the victims, said the capture was more than good news. Venable and Joey Marcum were killed in December 2017. One of their bodies was found inside a charred vehicle and the other nearby with a gunshot wound on Rock Lick Road. Police arrested Bobby Hammonds in connection to the double murder but could not find his brother, Terry, until Friday. Troopers say they found Hammonds at a home on Dean Road and had to drag him out from under a bed. Hammonds was lodged in the Jackson County Detention Center.
