The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy was called out to a burglary in progress at an apartment on Gilbert Street in Corbin. The officer found that the back door was open and went inside. He found two men in the living room and ordered them to lay face down on the floor. As the men were going to the floor, one of them jumped up and struggled with the deputy. During the struggle, the man was able to get away and fled on foot. The deputy stayed with the other man, later identified by 34 year old Adam Pinkley of Michigan, and called for assistance. Corbin City Police responded and during the investigation, they found a baggy of suspected methamphetamine on the floor. Pinkley was arrested and charged with drug possession and other offenses. Officers searched the area for the other man but couldn’t find him. Police have identified him and at last report they were getting an arrest warrant. The investigation into the reported burglary is continuing. Pinkley was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
