The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says a teen is facing charges after she allegedly threatened several people. Deputies say they were called to Keavy Elementary on a report of an out-of-control 17-year-old girl on a bus. When they arrived they learned the girl had threatened children on the bus, the bus driver and principal. Around 60 children between the ages of six and twelve were on the bus at the time. As deputies tried to take the girl off of the bus, she continued to make threats, curse, scream and yell. Deputies say she then stated she was a drug user. They later determined she was under the influence. Deputies have not identified the girl since she is a minor. The teen was taken to the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Facility. She faces multiple charges including 63 counts of terroristic threatening, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
