The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says deputies went to a home on Broughton Hollow Road in Barbourville to serve a warrant on 34 year old Fordie Burns who was wanted on a felony warrant. There were also reports Burns and others were staying up all night taking drugs in the house which is also occupied by two elderly adults, one of which was disabled. When police arrived they could hear two adults talking inside the house. When they knocked on the door deputies could hear the two adults waking up an elderly woman to answer the door. After going in and checking on the elderly residents, they found Burns hiding in a closet. They also found 34 year old Jennifer Gray there along with numerous used syringes and two bags of suspected meth. Gray was wanted on two Knox County warrants. Burns and Gray were arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
