Laurel Sheriff John Root says a trespassing complaint on Greeting Card Road led to five arrests. During the investigation deputies found a large amount of suspected crystal meth, hydrocodone, a glass pipe, needles, baggies and cash. Officers say four small children were also there and apparently meth had been used in the apartment there while they were present. Social services was called to the scene and the children were placed with other family members. Those arrested were: 45 year old Robert K. Owen of Middlesboro, 28 year old Christine A. Martin of Middlesboro, 24 year old Courtney N. Roark of Corbin, 27 year old Sarah C. Tye of Corbin and 24 year old Christian William Tye of Tennessee. One of them reportedly ingested drugs as police arrived and was taken to St. Joseph-London for treatment of a possible drug overdose. That person was jailed after being released. They were all lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
