Police in Knox County say they have tracked down the robber who threatened a gas station a week before and took him into custody. On February 13, a man entered the A & B Quick Stop with a gun and demanded money. When the robber realized another man was in the store, he ran out and rode away on an ATV. Officials found the ATV and got a search warrant for James Philpot’s apartment on Black Street in Barbourville. Police say items inside the apartment connected Philpot to the robbery. The 38 year old Philpot was arrested and charged with first degree robbery. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
