The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says deputies caught up with a man on the run since September. 36 year old Tim Engle escaped from Jackson County Detention center after being charged with several felonies. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Information was developed that Engle had returned to Knox County and was living in the Gray area. Engle continued to elude police despite several attempts to catch him. In deputies’ latest visit to his home in Gray this week Engle ran out the back door. After a lengthy foot chase, deputies caught him and took him into custody. In addition to the original warrant for escape, he was charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest. A woman there, 36 year old Chrissey Renae Johnson of Gray, was also arrested and charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension. She was also wanted on a Knox County warrant for traffic offenses. Engle and Johnson were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
