Sheriff John Root is reporting that Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Kirk Mays, while on routine patrol, was flagged down by a Walmart employee off U.S. 25 E , 10 miles south of London at approx. 1:03 A.M. Friday morning (2-10-2012) reporting that they observed a female subject get out of a silver Chev. S-10 pickup, and point a pistol at another person in another vehicle. Deputy Mays located the vehicle and conducted an investigation. A 9mm Ruger Semi Automatic pistol was located under the seat. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be under the influence and was arrested: He is identified as: Garrett L. Brown age 39 of Walker Road, Dewitt,Ky charged with Operating A Motor Vehicle Under The Influence, reckless driving, operating on a Suspended License, and Possession Of A Handgun By a Convicted Felon. The passenger was arrested , and is identified as: Paula J. Jackson age 38 of Sturdivant Morgan Road, Corbin charged with: Public Intoxication, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.
