A Knox County deputy arrested a woman in Corbin after he saw her looking into someone else’s vehicle. The deputy was patrolling on Hamblin Avenue when he noticed the woman looking inside a vehicle outside a home. When the deputy went to investigate the woman, 29 year old Sylvia Garland, said she was looking for flowers and sugar water. The owner of the nearby home told officials he did not know the woman but said she had been “prowling around” other homes on the street. Garland was charged with public intoxication. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
