The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called out to a home on Peyton Lane in the Callebs Creek area where shots were reportedly fired. When deputies arrived several people were standing outside the home. During the investigation police determined 22 year old Hunter West had been there and was asked to leave. After getting into his vehicle and pulling out, he fired about eight shots into the house that was occupied by five people. One of them was a two year old child that was standing in front of a window and was nearly struck by one of the rounds. Deputies later found West at a house on Moore Creek Road in Flat Lick. He was arrested and charged with five counts of Wanton Endangerment. The investigation is continuing with additional charges possible. West was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
