Kentucky State Police say troopers received a call alleging Travis Hoskins and Tina Philpot were drug users with two children living in their Clay County home. When police went to the home they came upon Philpot sitting on the roadway waiting for her mother to pick her up after seeing her children. Officers continued to the home, where they found a friend of Hoskins in the backyard. Officers knocked on the door several times asking for Hoskins to open up. Troopers eventually found an open door where they sent the friend in to bring Hoskins out. Troopers entered the home once they heard voices and found trash and clothes scattered on the floor. Hoskins then came at police with a closed hand and bumped their chest, telling officers to get out. Hoskins faces endangering the welfare of a minor, resisting arrest and menacing charges. Two children found in the home were taken to the Clay County 911 Center.
